Key Projects

Petrel ProjectThe Grey-faced Petrel Project was New Zealand’s longest running mainland seabird project [1990-2013].

Penguin ProjectThe local Little Blue penguin population was hugely underestimated until the Rena Oil Spill crisis. Now we know that it is one of the most significant populations in the Bay of Plenty.

Shorebird ProjectEvery year, dotterel and oystercatcher pairs call the Mount Maunganui Main Beach home during their breeding season. We help to ensure it's a success.
